I would have rated this place a 5 if it weren't for the receptionist. She seemed like she was annoyed that I was there. She made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I found myself apologizing to her for bothering her.

Waste of money. Paid $80 for me to tell the dr what I had.. he said he's never even heard of it. On top of that I had him prescribe me what I used to be prescribed, and he was only able to give me a 2-day supply. Never again.

I went to the Shippensburg Urgent care on 2/14/2017 (yes! Valentine's Day) complaining of coughing, sneezing, stuffy/runny nose, cold/hot spells, body aches, and rib pain...The doctor swabbed my nose and handed me a script for Tamiflu stating that I probably had the flu...she informed me that the test results should be back the next day...I asked her if the Tamiflu, besides helping to treat the "flu", would also address my pain issue which is quite severe, especially in my ribs. She stated that it would help alleviate all the symptoms associated with the flu...So I went and picked up my prescription in PAIN, and that night I took my first dose just to become shaky and feel my anxiety (which I am already diagnosed with and being treated for) start to peak on top of still having the extreme PAIN, So, along with my 800 mg of neurontin (for my fibromyalgia), my 10 mg of Valium (for my panic/anxiety) and the Tamiflu, I decided to take 1,200 mg of Tylenol and continued to drink plenty of water as advised, yet I was STILL in pain. Since they NEVER called me with my test results, I called back in this afternoon 2/15/17 asking about my flu test results and informed them that I am STILL in pain...Some tech told me to take 800 milligrams of ibuprofen and Tylenol in addition to my other meds...I advised her that I started adding the Tylenol last night, told her of my reaction to the Tamiflu, and also advised her to read my chart bc I cannot take Nsaids either due to allergic reactions to them...she stated to me at that point that I had a "viral infection which could take up to 7-10 days to go away"...Again, I asked what they could do to address the pain I was having and she said that they would not write me a script for a narcotic...I then, in PAIN, got upset and firmly told her that I NEVER asked for a narcotic and she shouldn't make such presumptions, I DID ask for something to help alleviate the pain bc everything I was taking wasn't helping...so I asked to speak to an actual DOCTOR and although the doctor I seen yesterday wasn't there, she did put Alyssa (the most compassionate physician there) on the phone which had cared for me during a prior visit and I had to in PAIN explain myself all over AGAIN just to be told that she was "so sorry but she couldn't write a narcotic (apparently that was the only other option med-wise) for a painful viral infection that at times are known to cause pain and inflammation in the ribs bc she was afraid of losing her license", which I wouldn't want her to bc in my opinion she's the best Urgent Care in Shippensburg has got, however, since it's a viral infection which is known to cause PAIN, it's I guess MY fault I'm allergic to Nsaids and I'm left to lay here in extreme pain?! Unfair and very incompassionate to say the least! With all that being said, I now look at urgent care as nothing more than a band-aid express for those that are too dumb not to know how to apply the band-aid themselves...If it's anything more than that, I suggest u save yourself the time and waste of a trip and just go directly to the emergency room bc that's where you'll end up anyway to get a proper diagnosis and alleviation of your pain or symptoms.

I wouldn't recommend this place. The lady at the front desk was very rude. Maybe your office should consider hiring someone who actually enjoys working with adults and children.

Very helpful staff and fast service! Also stayed after 9 pm to help waiting clients! Highly recommend

Once we were in a room waiting for the doctor things were much better. The nurse was really nice. My daughter was very ill and scared. The nurse and physician assistance Gordon Braun were amazing with my daughter. He was extremely patient and very gentle and kind to her. He took care of her like she was his own family member. We need more doctors (and nurses) like him. Again the doctor was phenomenal.
